Tour Stars to make Volvo Masters of Asia field - 9/2/2008
The Volvo Masters of Asia will head to Thai Country Club for the fourth successive season this December once again bringing the year to a thrilling conclusion on the Asian Tour. The US$750,000 tournament, which was won last year by Thailand’s Prayad Marksaeng, will be played from December 18 to 21 and feature the cream of the region’s professional golfers.

Bangkok, December 9: Local hero Prayad Marksaeng secured an emotional triumph at the season-ending Volvo Masters of Asia on Sunday and later dedicated his victory to the King of Thailand.

A Thai golfer won the Volvo Masters of Asia on home soil for the second successive year, but it was the Hua Hin-based Prayad Marksaeng and not the defending champion and pre-tournament favourite Thongchai Jaidee who lifted the record US$135,000 winner’s cheque at the Thai Country Club.
